Let me say first of all, even if Skip never gets published, he can die knowing in his heart he is an incredible author, writer and wordsmith. Really, I don't read novels, love stories, mysteries and entertainment books, just because in my eyes I am too far from where I need to be in life and they distract me. But the excerpts you sent me from Skip's book are majestic, compelling and heart-touching. Every subject left me wanting to read that whole chapter.  His vocabulary is so profound and on point, you are put right there in that scenario. Plain and simple, Skip is a "Kick-a__ writer!" Would I buy the book just based on the title?- probably not , but if a man dares to read any "one" page I believe he, like myself, will have to have this publication. --G. Wright-Business Owner
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you  but you know how life  happens!  I am absolutely awe struck by your excerpts.   I  can't  wait to get my hands on a copy.  I really believe that your "story"  will  touch a really large portion of the population.  Based on your epilog - it is a  courageous story that I think is very relatable.  You  should be able to hear  James Baldwin applauding at the lessons learned by his  student.
I'm just so excited !   S. Ward-Actress (wife of the late Cedric Ward, Director)
Skip, your story is beautifully written... the words have stayed with me long after I stopped reading. This book provides a necessary message today and I applaud you! ---D.Stoner, Assoc. Broker
You a have a marvelously melodic and relaxed writing style, it flowed very
  nicely.   --CS, Librarian
I loved a couple of your descriptions, like "ancient dance of color"  to describe the color changes of the leaves of trees, and "Mother Nature had been murdered here, and the sun dethroned." P.Drabant-Editor
I really like the way it's written! I especially like the scene with the
cake/crack contrast, I thought it was brilliant.--

I am very excited about the release of my first book, Mother's Milk.  I am anticipating the release of my second book, a collection of romantic peotry and letters in the spring of 2014. The two pieces of work exhibit artistic  diversity of  pen and thoughts. Hopefully readers will enjoy both.  A third publication, release anticipated in late 2014,  will be a series of short stories and essays. Writing is an art and a pleasure; publication has long  been my dream.
